Have you heard of WooWoo? WooWoo is relating to or holding unconventional beliefs regarded as having little or no scientific basis, especially those relating to spirituality, mysticism, or alternative medicine.
That doesn’t really sound like it has a place in your business strategy does it? Well, that’s what I wanted to know. If we move away from the more scientific and structured basis of strategy, can there be a place for more unconventional methods towards career success.
Welcome to the WooWoo series, where over the next three weeks we are going to talk to experts in the realms of numerology, mantras and intuition to see if that WooWoo stuff might actually help us find greater success.
Drink of the week: WooWoo or if you prefer it’s full name, the Teeny Weeny WooWoo! https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/woo-woo

Have you heard of. Woo. Or. Woo-hoo. As it is more commonly referred to. Woo is relating to or holding. Unconventional beliefs. Regarded as having little or no scientific basis. Especially those relating to spirituality. Mysticism or alternative medicine. That's so not me. I mean, I have a bachelor's degree in biology for. Sake. I'm not really into that woo stuff. I say to myself as I check my daily horoscope every morning. So maybe I am. Welcome to episode 49, where I ask the question. Is there a place or a benefit to having that woo shit in our business. This episode is sponsored by Nickerson. A full service, branding, marketing, and PR and communications agency with team members in Boston, LA, Miami, and New York city. Visit them at Nickerson C O S dot. When I decided to put together an entire series on Wu topics, I did it from an area of complete curiosity. You see, when I think of my business, I think about the actual work that I do, creating strategies and plans, writing my book, doing research, speaking, publicly, putting this podcast together. I also think about the administrative tasks associated with running a business, the legal, the accounting systems. In my mind, things with little or no proven scientific basis, don't factor into how this business runs. But at home. I seem to, if not welcome all that stuff, certainly dabble in it. I have a Sage stick to smudge the bad Juju from my home. Every night before bed, I spray my pillow with put Shulie or Cedar wood, or one of the other five or six bottles of essential oil pillow mists I have on my nightstand. I apply lavender oil to my wrists, and I keep a selenite crystal next to the bed. I've long forgotten what that crystal is supposed to do. I practice yoga. I've tried to incorporate meditation into my life and I've been known to see a tarot card reader or two or three or four. Who's counting. So to some extent I have incorporated the Wu into my life. So what about business? Are there areas within the unconventional that can actually help us be more successful in business? For the purpose of this series, I have decided to focus on three unconventional practices. Numerology mantras and intuition. Over the next three weeks, I will focus on them in that order. To see? What, if any, are the business benefits of Next week's episode on numerology is jam packed with information and it will mean so much more to you. If you do a little bit of homework in advance so that you can fully understand the numbers that we are discussing. So prior to listening to next week's episode, I would love for you to be able to calculate your life. Path. Number. Have it last year yet, please don't roll your eyes at me. Please go with me on this journey. I know you will be happy. You did. In order to find your life path number. There are a few different calculators on the web, but I'm going to direct you to the website or the person that I'm interviewing next week. Her name is Jo solely. And she is a business numerologist. I will put a link in the show notes to her website where you can download a workbook to calculate your life path number again. I know I was skeptical as well. But this was such interesting stuff when we started getting into it and I found myself fascinated by it all. Her website is Joe solely.com. That's J O. S O L E y.com. That's the only bit of homework you have for this series, other than to enter the next three episodes with a curious and open mind about whether or not. Woo could fit in your business. Can you guess what the drink of the week is? Come on. It's the woo woo. Which honestly, I had no idea it was an actual cocktail. I thought it was just a shot. That's what we were in college. We ordered Wu shots. That's the only way I've ever ingested this drink before. So, if you didn't know it was a cocktail, you probably didn't know that Wu isn't even the full name of the cocktail. The full name of the cocktail is. That teeny weeny. Woo. Careful not to order that in a bar that you've never been in before. The the teeny weeny, Wu is a combination of vodka, peach, schnapps, and cranberry juice. I guess it's a cousin of the Cape Codder, which is just vodka and cranberry juice. The drink became popular in the 1980s, along with other cocktails containing peach schnapps, such as the fuzzy navel. And I'm not even joking here at the silk panties. Peach snaps was so popular that Esquire actually wrote an article about its rise in the March, 1988. Issue. Here's what you're going to need. One ounce of vodka. And half ounce of peach snaps and two ounces of cranberry juice where you're going to do is you're going to get a highball glass filled with ice and just put all those ingredients in there and star in garnished with a lime, which. Okay friends, that's it for this week. It's a short episode, but next week's episode, we'll make up for it. Cause it's a little bit longer than our normal interviews. Remember to do your homework for next week's episode so that you get the most out of my conversation with Joe. If you haven't had a chance to review the podcast, I'm asking, please, please, please. I would love it. If you could take a moment to do so. And subscribe and share with all your friends. Until next week. Cheers
