For the past nine months, I have been working on something behind the scenes. And by “working on,” I mean looking at it, talking about it, rewriting it, moving things around, changing my mind, changing it back, sending approximately 4,000 emails about it, and occasionally staring at my computer thinking…WHY IS BUILDING A WEBSITE SO HARD? But today…IT’S HERE. The brand-new TheJulieBrown.com is officially LIVE. And I am so freaking excited. My team and I started this project nine months ago because my old website just didn’t feel like “me” anymore. My business had grown. My speaking had certainly evolved. I had new ideas, new keynotes, new videos, new photos, new stories, new things I wanted to say. And apparently all of those things require decisions, lots and lots of decisions. What photos? What words? What goes on the homepage? What doesn’t? Does that sound like me? Does that LOOK like me? Why is that button there? Why is my face so enormous? Can we make that more fun? Can we make that LESS fun? Wait. Put the fun back. There were days when I was convinced we were almost done only to find out we were NOWHERE close to being done. But slowly, piece by piece, it started coming together. And as it began to take shape, it stopped feeling like a website we were building and started feeling like my home. Which is probably why I’m so excited to finally share it with you. So today I don’t have a networking lesson or story for you. I have my new website. A beautiful, weird, bold, avocado-filled π₯corner of the internet that feels like home. There are new keynote pages. New videos. New photos. The BOLD Factor. This Sh!t Works. Resources. Podcasts. Newsletters. Probably more pictures of my face than any one person reasonably needs on the internet. And I want you to go snoop around. Click things. Watch things. Read things. And PLEASE tell me what you think. Because she’s HERE. And I couldn’t be more proud of her.
Cheers,
P.S. If you like my work and want to support it, here are 3 ways! 1) Forward this newsletter to a friend and let them know they can subscribe here. 2) Buy my book 3) Bring me into your company to speak. (Either in person or virtual.) |
